Dear Reader,

I just returned from International Cement Microscopy Association (ICMA, www.cemmicro.org) that was held in Quebec City.  Yesterday afternoon, I participated in a panel public discussion on the evidence for/against cast-in-place origin of the Egyptian pyramid blocks. Drs. Donald Campbell and Dipayan Jana  made the case for carving; they talked first and I closed. At the end of my talk, when asked if anybody had any questions, nobody, including the two aforementioned gentlemen, had any question,  comments or objections. I assumed, by their silence, that they were convinced  that at least some of the blocks were indeed cast. Michel

1 - "nobody, including the two aforementioned gentlemen, had any question, comments or objections."
-- A little bit of a double-edged sword there. No criticims is a very good thing. Sometimes, feedback can also be useful, though. ICMA seems like it would be a great place to go to pick up some contacts and potential help.

Congratulations on your presentation. (Comment this)

2 - What role did the pyramids play in dealing with celestial influences?
Could pyramids be another attempt (successful or not) to deal with galactic or cosmic threads or energy phenomena similar to the solar energy criss (with resulting global warming or even worse effects yet to come) we are now experiencing. The Aztecs believed they could appaise the sun (god) by massive human sacrifice, maybe the old egyptians had a better approach/method and used the pyramid to channel, divert, channel, mirror or whatever to deal with this.
By now we have ample proof (Hancock e.a.) that the old eqyptians or whoever built the great pyramid were well aware of how earth sits amidst not only planets and the sun/moon, but amidst stars and the wider galaxy and especially Sirius pops up as a major influence on the pyramid construction.
As we are, according to Maya and many other cultures reckoning, facing a new solar crisis, that might originate not from solar system influence, but rather from forces outside the solar system, in our own galaxy or even beyond. Our solar system seems to be subject to a cyclic pulse or even peak in energy exchange, as manifested in solar storms etc. This may have devastating effects on the earth, with global warming just as one of the things we notice , and it might be worthwhile to look at the pyramids as a way the sages of old tried to deal with similar celestial situations or threads. Maybe the pyramids were megaprojects to deal with the energy (in whatever form or dimensional origin) from the wider cosmos or specific star constellations, foton-belts or other forces out there. Maybe the great pyramid(s), with marble or alabaster outside, some say even gilded surfaces and inner corridors clearly aimed at specific stars (Sirius) were energy tools to deal with those influences.
Your discovery about the construction of the pyramids out of a kind of cement/concrete sheds new light on the level of technological finesse of the builders. (L. Sala 06/07)

3 - I am curious about other ancient structures regarding whether they were also constructed in a similar method as the pyramids. Could the Sphinx, other Egyptian temples, even Sumerian or ancient Babylonian (ziggurats) structures have similar construction methods? (Comment this)

4 - This could also explain the Coral Castle construction by Ed Leedskalnin in Florida in the 1930's. As an engineer, I have always been intrigued by this mystery, and none of the theories thus far can adequately explain it. It seems a similar geopolymer analysis of the coral blocks used in the construction could yield interesting insights. Any thoughts on this? (Comment this)

5 - ok im just saying, this is cool!!! why arent we building homes for the poor, here and abroad? i'd certainly love to be involved. tell me how to make this stuff! so some ancient kamitians made some rather nifty cement!! lets get busy changing things now! (Comment this)

6 - clayton, Sounds like something that Habitat For Humanity should know about. I'm with you on this one. (Comment this)

7 - Dear Sir(s): I am in the original stage of construction planning, for a 4000 sq ft barn in Nova Scotia, Canada and am impressed with the possibility of wall construction of the material you describe in your pyramid article. The barn site is on the Atlantic coast and I was hoping to begin construction this summer but would be willing to delay if a rough estimate could be made in a reasonable time, indicating... quantities, costs, material availability and suitable construction process. Do you know anyone that could provide this minimal feasibility information for the Cape Breton area of Nova Scotia; or, if not that area, then any area would help, extrapolating from there. I know that there is a lot of gypsum mining in the area which I hope might be inducing. Sincerely, courtneycthomas@bellsouth.net (Comment this)

8 - Husein, I really cannot comment on other stone. However, we know what some of the artificial stone looks like. So my attitude is: send me the stone and I can them judge. Anything else is pure speculation. Michel (Comment this)

9 - Clayton, We are working hard to come up with the recipe. So far we have a number of recipes, some better than others. When we get something worthwhile we will publish it for all. Cheers. Michel (Comment this)
